Electrical StormStellate Ganglion BlockVentricular Arrhythmia

Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests whether injecting numbing medicine around neck nerves (stellate ganglion block) can calm dangerous heart rhythms called electrical storm. It's for people with heart disease whose abnormal rhythms keep happening despite usual medications.

Nerve block treatment for dangerous heart rhythm episodes

This trial looks at a procedure called a stellate ganglion block to calm dangerous, repeated heart rhythm attacks that haven’t improved with standard medicines. It may help reduce how often and how long these episodes last while you’re in the hospital.

Nerve block for anxiety treatment in people with pain

This study tests a nerve block (stellate ganglion block) as a treatment for anxiety. It aims to see if the procedure improves anxiety symptoms and how it affects brain activity. The trial is looking for adults aged 18-60 with both an anxiety disorder and a pain condition.

Nerve block to reduce inflammation during heart surgery in elderly

This study tests whether a nerve block in the neck (called a stellate ganglion block) can reduce inflammation and improve recovery in elderly patients undergoing heart surgery. If you qualify, you will receive this block along with standard anesthesia, and the researchers will measure markers of inflammation in your blood.
