Nerve block for brain bleeding recovery

Aneurysmal Subarachnoid HemorrhageStellate Ganglion BlockNeurological Prognosis

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests if a nerve block near the neck can improve brain function recovery after a subarachnoid hemorrhage (a type of stroke from a bleeding brain aneurysm). It is for people within 72 hours of onset who are having surgery to fix the aneurysm.

Early Blood Pressure Treatment After Aneurysm Repair

This study tests whether starting blood pressure treatment soon after surgery or coiling for a brain aneurysm can improve recovery. It is for people who had a bleeding stroke from a ruptured aneurysm and are in the hospital for treatment.

Nerve block treatment for sleep after brain injury

This study tests whether a nerve block (stellate ganglion block) can help improve sleep in patients who have been unconscious for a long time after a brain injury. If you are scheduled for a spinal cord stimulator implant, this treatment might help you sleep better.

Nerve block to reduce inflammation during heart surgery in elderly

This study tests whether a nerve block in the neck (called a stellate ganglion block) can reduce inflammation and improve recovery in elderly patients undergoing heart surgery. If you qualify, you will receive this block along with standard anesthesia, and the researchers will measure markers of inflammation in your blood.

NCT04490161Recruiting
Preventing blood-vessel spasm after aneurysm brain bleeding

This trial studies a spinal fluid (CSF) treatment to help prevent dangerous blood-vessel tightening (vasospasm) after a type of brain bleed caused by an aneurysm. If you qualify, the goal is to reduce complications soon after aneurysm repair.

Vagus nerve stimulation for brain bleeding complication

This trial tests if a nerve stimulation device can prevent a dangerous blood vessel spasm after a brain aneurysm bleed. It may help reduce damage and improve recovery.

Nerve block treatment for brain blood vessel spasm after bleeding

This trial looks at a procedure that blocks specific nerves to help prevent or treat blood vessel spasm in the brain after a ruptured brain aneurysm. If you qualify, it may help improve blood flow to the brain during recovery in the ICU.
