Who can take part

  • You have type 2 diabetes
  • Your recent blood sugar test (HbA1c) is between 7.5% and 10.5%
  • You have been on a stable treatment plan for diabetes for at least 3 months (like diet and exercise, metformin, or an SGLT2 inhibitor)
  • Your weight has been stable (not changed more than 5%) for the last 3 months
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or higher
  • You have not had certain heart problems, such as a heart attack or stroke, in the last 3 months
