Who can take part
- You have type 2 diabetes diagnosed at least 6 months ago
- Your blood sugar control (HbA1c) is between 7–10% at screening
- You take 0–3 oral diabetes pills, or just lifestyle changes (no insulin, GLP-1 drugs, or similar)
- Your kidneys filter blood at least 30 mL/min/1.73m² (normal kidney function)
- You have not had severe low blood sugar episodes (hypoglycemia) in the past year
- You have not had recent eye problems from diabetes requiring laser surgery or injections
