Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old and in the ICU.
- You have sepsis (a serious infection causing body-wide inflammation) and your kidneys have been injured within the last 3 days.
- You need fluids and heart-supporting medicines (like norepinephrine) for at least 4 hours to keep your blood pressure up.
- Your kidney function was fairly normal before this illness (eGFR ≥ 30-45, check with your doctor).
- You weigh between 40 and 125 kg (about 88 to 275 pounds).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you can have children, you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 100 days after.
