Who can take part

  • You are 40 years old or older
  • You were in the ICU for at least 3 days (72 hours)
  • You had acute lung injury or sepsis while in the ICU
  • You could walk without help before going to the ICU
  • You do not have a brain injury or neurological condition that limits your ability to do physical tests
  • You are expected to survive at least 6 months
