Who can take part

  • Your cancer must be advanced or spread and cannot be surgically removed.
  • Your tumor must have a protein called HER2, which can be checked from a biopsy.
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans.
  • You need to be generally active (able to take care of yourself and do light activities) and weigh at least 77 lbs (35 kg).
  • You cannot have untreated or active brain metastases that cause symptoms or need treatment.
