Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and no older than 75.
- You have advanced cancer (that has spread or cannot be removed) that tests positive for HER2, a protein that helps cells grow.
- You are in fairly good health — able to take care of yourself and be up and about (ECOG 0 or 1).
- If you have measurable tumors (as seen on scans), you qualify for the dose-finding part; other parts also accept tumors that are visible but not measurable.
- You have adequate organ function (liver, kidneys, etc.) as determined by blood tests, and a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks.
- You must agree to use effective birth control during the study if you or your partner can have children.
