Who can take part
- You have a type of skin cancer called cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma that has spread locally and cannot be removed by surgery.
- You have at least one skin or under-the-skin tumor that can be injected and measured.
- Your cancer has gotten worse during or after treatment with an immunotherapy drug (checkpoint inhibitor), or you cannot tolerate that treatment.
- You are willing to have a small tissue sample (biopsy) taken from a tumor before and during the study.
- You are at least 18 years old and your overall health status allows you to be up and about (ECOG score 0, 1, or 2).
