TIL Therapy for Advanced Skin Cancer Patients
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Infections, Skin clinical trials.
This study tests a personalized cell therapy called TIL (tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes) for people with advanced skin cancers that have not responded to immunotherapy. Doctors take your tumor cells, grow immune cells from them, and then infuse them back to fight the cancer.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You must have a type of skin cancer called cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma or Merkel cell carcinoma that has spread or come back.
- Your cancer must have gotten worse after trying immunotherapy drugs like Keytruda or Opdivo.
- You need at least one tumor that is large enough (about half an inch) for doctors to remove and make into a personalized cell treatment.
- You should be generally up and about and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0-2).
- Your heart, lungs, and blood counts must be in good enough shape to handle the treatment.

This trial tests a new treatment called tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for melanoma that hasn't responded to standard immunotherapy drugs. The therapy involves taking immune cells from your tumor, growing more of them in the lab, and putting them back into your body to fight the cancer.
This trial tests a personalized cell therapy using your own immune cells (TILs) grown in a lab. It is for people with advanced melanoma that did not respond to or stopped responding to prior immunotherapy.
This trial tests a personalized cell therapy using your own immune cells (tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, or TILs) to fight advanced melanoma that has stopped responding to standard treatments like anti-PD-1 (immunotherapy). If you qualify, you'd receive your own TILs instead of chemotherapy.
This trial tests a new T-cell therapy made from your own tumor (TILs), genetically edited to remove the PD1 checkpoint blocker. It may help your immune system fight melanoma that has not responded to standard treatments like anti-PD1 therapy.
This trial tests a personalized therapy using your own immune cells (TILs) combined with immunotherapy to fight advanced breast cancer that has not responded to other treatments. It may help if you have a tumor that can be biopsied and you are generally healthy enough for the procedures.
This trial tests a treatment that uses your own immune cells, called TILs, to fight advanced solid tumors. The cells are taken from a biopsy of your tumor, multiplied in a lab, and then given back to you. It might help if you have tried other treatments without success, or if no standard treatment is available.
