Who can take part
- You are 18 or older.
- You have acute coronary syndrome (like a heart attack or unstable angina) and need a stent.
- You are at high risk for bleeding, for example due to blood thinners, kidney disease, anemia, or a recent serious bleed.
- You have at least one other narrowed artery that also needs a stent, either at the same time or within a month.
- You do not have severe heart failure, a very weak heart pump, or cardiogenic shock.
- Your treated artery is not the left main coronary artery or a bypass graft, and there is not a large blood clot in the vessel.
