New stent for high bleeding risk patients

Who can take part

  • You need a high risk of bleeding (like having kidney disease, liver problems, or taking blood thinners).
  • You must be able to take at least one month of blood thinners (aspirin and clopidogrel) after your stent.
  • You should have stable chest pain, no symptoms, or a heart attack (NSTEMI or STEMI).
  • You cannot have had a stent placed in the last 12 months.
  • You must not be actively bleeding right now.
