Accelerated hemodiafiltration for severe diquat poisoning

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have swallowed diquat liquid (not inhaled or touched skin).
  • You must get to the emergency room within 48 hours of taking the poison.
  • Your blood level of diquat must be very high (at least 1,000 ng/mL).
  • You cannot have taken other poisons at the same time.
  • You must not have had kidney dialysis or a kidney transplant in the recent past.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
