Who can take part
- You have type 1 or 2 diabetes and your diabetic eye disease is moderately severe to severe (stages called 47 or 53).
- Your vision in the study eye is fairly good — at least 20/40 (can read most of an eye chart).
- You have no diabetic macular edema (swelling) affecting the center of your vision in that eye.
- You haven't had certain prior treatments (like laser or anti-VEGF injections) in the study eye recently or at all.
- You are 18 or older and willing to follow study procedures.
