Who can take part
- You have had knee pain for at least 3 months and have been told it is osteoarthritis by your doctor.
- Your knee x-ray (from the last 12 months) shows a moderate level of osteoarthritis, usually called stage 2 or 3.
- Your resting knee pain has been at least 40 out of 100 on a pain scale for at least 15 days in the past month.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or lower.
- You have not had knee surgery, gel (hyaluronic acid) injections in the last 6 months, or cortisone shots in the last month.
- You can understand and give informed consent to participate.
