Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a total knee replacement that will be done as an outpatient (you go home the same day)
- You are considered a healthy or moderately healthy patient (ASA class I-III)
- Your body mass index (BMI) is under 40
- You are able to provide your own consent for surgery
- You do not take strong pain medicines (opioids) regularly or for a long time
