Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke).
- Your level of consciousness must be moderately to severely impaired (GCS score 3–12).
- The stroke must have started within the last 24 hours (including strokes that happen during sleep).
- You must be independent before the stroke (no major disability).
- You (or a family member) must be able to give permission for the study.
