Who can take part

  • You or your child must have new ear discomfort or symptoms within the last month, or for young children, a respiratory infection with possible ear involvement
  • You or your child must be of any age
  • You must agree to participate and sign a consent form (for children under 15, both guardians must consent)
  • You must be seen by a doctor who has agreed to be part of the study and is a GP, GP resident, or junior doctor
  • At certain clinics, the doctor must have completed a special training module before including you
