Who can take part
- You or your child must have new ear discomfort or symptoms within the last month, or for young children, a respiratory infection with possible ear involvement
- You or your child must be of any age
- You must agree to participate and sign a consent form (for children under 15, both guardians must consent)
- You must be seen by a doctor who has agreed to be part of the study and is a GP, GP resident, or junior doctor
- At certain clinics, the doctor must have completed a special training module before including you
