Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Your surgery is planned (not an emergency).
  • Your physical status is ASA class I, II, or III (generally healthy or with mild to moderate health issues).
  • You will have a breathing tube placed in your windpipe during the surgery.
  • You have no known history of difficult intubation, head or neck trauma, surgery, or cancer.
  • You are not pregnant.
