Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is over 25 (you are considered at least overweight)
  • You are scheduled for an elective (non-emergency) surgery with general anesthesia
  • You have no major neck problems like tumors or birth defects
  • You have not had a previous difficult intubation (trouble placing a breathing tube)
  • Your BMI is not over 60
