Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) that has spread to other parts of the body or is too large for radiation.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are in fairly good health (able to do daily activities with little help).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
- If you have brain metastases, they must be stable and you should not have needed steroids or seizure drugs for at least a month.
- You have not had chest radiation or are not planning to have intense chest radiation before starting treatment.
