Who can take part

  • You must have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (cancer that has spread beyond one lung).
  • You cannot have received any previous treatment for this stage of lung cancer (like chemotherapy).
  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must be generally active and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You cannot have active or untreated brain tumors, serious heart disease, bleeding problems, or certain infections like hepatitis or HIV.
