Who can take part
- You must be an adult (at least 18 for asthma, at least 40 for COPD).
- You have symptoms like wheezing, cough, chest tightness, or shortness of breath, but no official diagnosis of asthma or COPD.
- You have not used inhaled steroids in the past 6 months or oral steroids in the past 3 months.
- You do not have other lung diseases (like lung cancer, pneumonia, active tuberculosis, or scarring) or recent chest surgery.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are willing to follow study procedures.
- You are not allergic to the bronchodilator used in the breathing tests.
