Who can take part

  • You are 12–15 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) at or above the 95th percentile but less than 120% of that level.
  • You speak English or Spanish.
  • You have a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera that can receive texts.
  • You receive care at one of the participating clinics and plan to stay in the area for the next 12 months.
  • A parent or legal guardian who lives with you is willing to join the study too.
