Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for heart surgery that uses a heart-lung machine (bypass).
- You will stay in the heart ICU for more than 48 hours after surgery.
- You can have an ultrasound of your eye through closed eyelids.
- You have not had eye surgery or injury in the past 6 weeks.
- You do not have any serious eye condition (like tumor or severe nerve damage) or a brain condition that could affect the ultrasound.
