Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- A CT scan showed a severe brain bleed from an aneurysm.
- The aneurysm was found on an angiogram (a special X-ray of blood vessels).
- You have a high grade (3-5) of severity on the WFNS scale (a measure of how serious the bleed is).
- You have a legally authorized representative who can give consent within 72 hours of the bleed or your last known normal time.
- Your aneurysm is not suitable for balloon-assisted coiling (a different treatment).
- The aneurysm is not bleeding from its neck.
- You are not expected to die within the next 24 hours.
- You are not pregnant (if female).
