  • Be between 18 and 65 years old
  • Have a traumatic brain bleed seen on a CT scan within 24 hours of injury
  • Be scheduled for a procedure to treat the bleed
  • Not have severe liver disease
  • Not be allergic to magnesium sulfate
  • Not have severe kidney disease (GFR below 15)
  • Not be pregnant
