Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You are having a severe stroke with symptoms like weakness or trouble speaking (NIH Stroke Scale score of 6 or higher).
- Your stroke is caused by a blockage in a large artery in the front part of the brain (carotid, M1, or M2 segment).
- You can have the clot removal procedure within 24 hours of when your stroke symptoms started.
- Your brain imaging shows no bleeding or a large area of dead tissue, and meets specific criteria depending on how long it's been since your stroke.
- You were independent before your stroke (able to do daily activities on your own).
