Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old
- You had an ischemic (clot) or hemorrhagic (bleeding) stroke at least six months ago
- Your arm is moderately to severely weak (scores between 20 and 50 on a 66-point arm function test)
- You are able to understand and follow instructions (cognitive test score of 23 or higher)
- You do not have very tight arm muscles (spasticity score of 2 or less)
- You do not use a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device
