Study of a new drug (161Tb-RAD402) for men with advanced prostate cancer

Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This trial tests a new radioactive drug designed to target and destroy prostate cancer cells. It is for men whose cancer has continued to grow despite hormone therapy and other treatments like enzalutamide or abiraterone.

Who can take part

  • You have advanced or metastatic prostate cancer that is no longer responding to hormone therapy.
  • Your cancer shows up on a special PSMA PET scan (more uptake than the liver).
  • You have tried at least one type of hormone-blocking drug (like enzalutamide or abiraterone) but your cancer kept growing.
  • You are in generally good health (able to care for yourself, ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • Your kidney function and blood counts are adequate (no severe anemia, low platelets, or kidney failure).

NCT07621692Recruiting· Phase 1
New radioactive therapy for advanced prostate cancer

This is an early-stage trial testing a new radioactive treatment (161Tb-PSMA) for men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread and stopped responding to hormone therapy. The treatment targets cancer cells using a radioactive metal that may be more effective than older similar treatments.
