- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have ALS (diagnosed by a doctor using standard criteria) and your symptoms started within the last 2 years.
- Your lung function (FVC) is above 60%, and you do not have severe breathing or nutritional problems.
- You do not have serious liver or kidney disease, or any active infection or metabolic condition that could affect the test results.
