Who can take part

  • You must have one of these conditions: Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Frontotemporal dementia (FTD), or ALS.
  • If you have Parkinson's, you need at least two of the main symptoms (tremor, stiffness, slowness, or one-sided start) and have had improvement with Parkinson's medication.
  • If you have Alzheimer's, your diagnosis must be supported by a positive test for amyloid (a protein found in the brain).
  • You cannot have another major brain disease (like multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, or previous dementia).
  • You cannot have a pre-existing psychiatric condition.
  • You must be able to sign an informed consent form (if you have Alzheimer's, FTD, or ALS).
