Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • You have major depressive disorder and have not responded to at least two different antidepressants.
  • Your depression is severe (score of 20 or higher on a depression rating scale).
  • You do not have any other major mental health condition (like bipolar, schizophrenia, or substance abuse).
  • You do not have a serious medical condition (like heart disease, epilepsy, or a brain tumor) or a metal implant in your body.
