Chronic Nausea and Vomiting Syndrome

This study looks at how the brain and stomach communicate in people with chronic nausea. It uses a noninvasive brain stimulation method called TMS to understand brain activity. You may qualify if you have chronic nausea or are a healthy volunteer.

Who can take part

  • You are between the ages of 21 and 60.
  • You either have chronic nausea or are a healthy volunteer (no stomach or nausea problems).
  • You are not pregnant and do not plan to become pregnant during the study.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or lower.
  • You have not had chemotherapy, stomach cancer, or stomach surgery.
  • You are not taking certain medications like Ozempic, Wellbutrin, or Prozac.
