Who can take part

  • Healthy participants must be 18 to 55 years old, weigh at least 50 kg, and have a BMI between 18 and 32.
  • People with lupus must be 18 to 75 years old, weigh between 45 and 145 kg, and have a BMI between 18 and 35. They must have been diagnosed with lupus for at least 6 months using standard criteria.
  • People with rheumatoid arthritis must be 18 to 75 years old, weigh between 45 and 145 kg, and have a BMI between 18 and 35. They must have had RA for at least 6 months and have moderate to high disease activity.
  • People with RA must have tried and failed at least 2 advanced treatments (like biologics) after trying a conventional DMARD.
  • You cannot join if you have severe lupus kidney disease, active lupus affecting the brain, or certain severe forms of RA.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot take part.
