Who can take part

  • You have a type of AML that is considered high-risk or has come back after one prior treatment.
  • If newly diagnosed, you must be 75 or older, or between 18 and 74 and not able to have strong chemotherapy.
  • You have not been treated with decitabine, azacitidine, venetoclax, or FHD-286 before (unless your AML progressed after one prior treatment).
  • Your white blood cell count can be lowered to 20,000 or less with medicine.
  • Your heart, liver, kidneys, and lungs work well enough (tests will be done to check).
