Who can take part
- You are an adult (18 or older).
- You have at least one of the three main symptoms of normal pressure hydrocephalus: trouble walking, memory loss, or bladder control, and a brain scan shows enlarged fluid spaces.
- You are being evaluated for hydrocephalus at Tours University Hospital.
- You can do a walking test with a physical therapist and a thinking/memory test with a speech therapist.
- You have not had a brain shunt placed before.
- There is no known blockage in your brain's fluid pathways (like from a tumor or narrow channel).
