Brain stimulation to improve social reward in depression

You may be eligible if you have depression with certain features like increased appetite, weight gain, or feeling very sensitive to rejection, and you are between 16 and 60 years old.

Who can take part

  • You are between 16 and 60 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder.
  • You score 20 or higher on a standard depression rating scale.
  • You have at least two symptoms like significant weight gain, increased appetite, sleeping too much, heavy feeling in limbs, or long-term sensitivity to rejection.
  • You are suitable to take antidepressant medication.
  • You do not have a current or past manic or hypomanic episode.
