Gene therapy injection for ALS safety study

Who can take part

  • You must be diagnosed with ALS by a doctor using the Gold Coast criteria.
  • Your weight must be in a healthy range (BMI of 18 or higher).
  • You must have a functional score (ALSFRS-R) of at least 24 and your ALS symptoms must have started within the last 42 months.
  • If you have the SOD1 gene mutation, you may qualify for certain groups. If you have other known familial ALS mutations, you may still be considered.
  • You must not have had gene or cell therapy for ALS before, and you cannot be in another treatment study right now.
