Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a diagnosis of non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), meaning your heart muscle is thickened but blood flow out of the heart is not blocked.
  • You are willing to undergo two special PET and MRI scans using a tracer called FAPI.
  • Your initial FAPI PET scan shows increased uptake, indicating active scarring in the heart.
  • You have mild to moderate heart failure symptoms (able to do daily activities with some limitation or less).
  • You do not have severe heart failure, recent heart surgery, serious liver or kidney problems, or other conditions that could interfere.
