Who can take part
- You have had a specific type of heart attack called STEMI (ST-segment elevation heart attack).
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- Your C-reactive protein (CRP) level, a measure of inflammation, is higher than 2.0 mg/L in your blood.
- You are clinically obese (your doctor has determined this).
- Your heart's pumping ability (left ventricular ejection fraction, or LVEF) is above 50%.
- You have not taken an immunosuppressive drug recently, have no history of heart disease, and are not pregnant.
