3D ultrasound to see new blood vessels in carotid plaque

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You already agreed to be in the SECURE trial and had a carotid ultrasound with contrast dye.
  • The earlier ultrasound showed at least one area of plaque in your carotid artery.
  • You can understand and sign the consent form.
  • You are not allergic to the ultrasound contrast dye (microbubbles).
  • You are not pregnant.
