Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 65 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 15 years or less.
  • Your blood sugar levels are within a certain range: either fasting blood sugar between 126 and 200 mg/dL, or random blood sugar between 200 and 300 mg/dL.
  • You are currently taking only metformin (a common diabetes pill).
  • You are not allergic to snakehead fish or bitter melon, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
