This study looks at whether low oxygen levels during sleep (from obstructive sleep apnea) are linked to problems in the tiny blood vessels of the heart. If you are already scheduled for a heart test called a coronary angiogram, you may be able to join and help understand this connection.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a coronary angiogram (a test that looks at your heart's blood vessels) because you have symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath, or tests show your heart isn't getting enough blood.
  • You are willing to do an overnight sleep study where we monitor how you breathe and your oxygen levels while you sleep.
  • You do not have certain serious heart conditions, like a fully blocked artery, prior bypass surgery, severe valve problems, or severe heart failure.
  • You do not have central sleep apnea (a breathing problem during sleep caused by the brain) as your main sleep issue.
