Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older and having your first heart surgery during this hospital stay.
- After surgery, you will go to the ICU for the first time and have your blood pressure monitored continuously with an arterial line for at least 12 hours.
- You do not need a heart pump support device (IABP or ECMO) before or during surgery.
- You do not have severe blood vessel disease in the arm where a pulse oximeter clip will be placed.
- You or your family agree to the study and provide written or verbal consent.
