- You had a stroke that affected parts of the brain (not just the cerebellum, brainstem, or spinal cord).
- You can move at least one arm or hand.
- You do not have significant memory or thinking problems (like a score under 24 on a standard test).

- You do not currently have severe confusion, trouble speaking/understanding, neglect, or head/gaze turning to one side.
