Who can take part

  • You must be an adult with a long-term liver condition like cirrhosis, hepatitis B or C, fatty liver disease, or alcohol-related liver disease, or have significant liver scarring (stage F3).
  • You cannot have any active cancer (except common skin cancer that's not melanoma) or a history of liver cancer.
  • Your kidneys must be working well enough (your doctor can check a simple blood test).
  • You must be willing to have a CT or MRI scan of your liver.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You should be expected to live at least 2 more years.
