Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had little to no disability before this stroke (able to live independently).
  • You have a confirmed ischemic stroke (a clot blocking blood flow in the brain) seen on a CT or MRI scan.
  • You arrived at the hospital within 24 hours of stroke onset or the last time you were seen normal.
  • Your stroke symptoms are mild (NIH stroke score of 5 or less).
  • You are willing to receive standard medication, clot-busting drugs, or clot-removal procedures as part of the study.
  • You or a legal representative have signed a consent form understanding the trial.
