Who can take part

  • Your child must be generally healthy with no serious illnesses or allergies.
  • Your child should be able to cooperate during the dental procedure.
  • Your child needs a pulpotomy on a baby molar because of a cavity or accidental nerve exposure during drilling.
  • You must give permission for your child to be in the study.
  • The tooth must not show any signs of infection or nerve damage (like swelling, abscess, or dark spots on X-ray).
  • The tooth must be restorable with a filling or crown after the procedure.
  • Bleeding from the tooth should stop easily within a few minutes after removing the nerve tissue.
