Who can take part

  • You are between 25 and 60 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 30 and 39.9.
  • You have either very mild underactive thyroid (TSH 5-10) or normal thyroid with a TSH level in the upper part of the normal range.
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must use very effective birth control and not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have diabetes, active cancer, heart disease, or serious liver or kidney problems.
